Again nothing East of Montreal here in Canada!! That's it, we are shutting off our lobster supply to you Quebec!!!

Hey Murf, you are right, I would have at least thought Halifax would have made the list. I mean they are in Boston, what's a few miles north!

What kills me is they snub us in Calgary and go to Edmonton. I am pretty sure they could still fill the 'Dome and still do Edmonton as well.

Any one listen to the internet radio station RUSH radio? All they play are, well I think you can figure it out.

Good new for us \:\) The last couple of times they played an outdoor venue. This time they are indoors, nice.

Those guys DO like to tour. Is there a new album?
Posted By: Murph Re: Rush Tour 2008 - 01/18/08 06:22 PM
Nothing new since "Snakes and Arrows." Although I understand they are going to release it again in 5.1 format, if that counts.

A live cd of the 2007 tour will be released in April 2008. Looks like the DVD (filmed in Rotterdam) will follow later (Christmas 2008)? Sounds like a revised setlist for the 08 tour. I was going to make the trip down to Portland on June 1st however they are playing Vancouver on May 29th! Yahoo!

Great news, Rock_Head. Hope they release the concert in HD.
Posted By: Rock_Head Re: Rush Tour 2008 - 01/19/08 05:28 PM
You would think that HD is the only format they would consider. I suppose it depends on what equipment is avaiable at the time.
Posted By: Worfzara Re: Rush Tour 2008 - 01/20/08 01:31 PM
I wouldn't think that at all. The idea of creating a DVD or CD is to market it, sell it and make a profit. If you only release in HD only you have limited your sales to a very very small segment of the population. This would be a bad business decision. You may have HD and love it. But you need to remember the rest of the world is still on standard DVD and probably will be for many years to come.

BTW, I saw RUSH in London at the JLC last September, they were awsome.

Actually, what I meant to say was, they would probably film the concert with HD cameras but not release a Blu-Ray HD DVD. You are correct, an HD DVD would limit the market.

Paul's right, I am hoping for a release in an HD format. I'll take either one. I've got both bases covered.

Couple of thoughts: I would suspect that Rush fans are more dorky likely to be early adopters of all things tech, so maybe there's an outside chance that they will release the DVD along with a BluRay. They did release Snakes and Arrows in both CD and MVI format.

Also, R30 was shot in HD format but only released, so far, on DVD. Maybe with the new video, they'll re-release R30 on BluRay ...

I can't wait until it's standard to release concerts in high-definition, as I think that's the only way the bands I listen to will be getting HD releases.

"Catatonia, Live in Manchester, 2000" coming soon to Blu Ray!

Nope, I think not. Charles, you're right. Dang.
