Just curious if Mojo is on vacation or grounded from the forum?
Posted By: medic8r Re: Mojo? - 01/29/08 04:10 AM
Word in the Shout Box a few days ago was that he is dealing with some family issues now. Beyond that, no clue. Hope everything works itself out OK for him. We all need him around here so that you elders at the top of the post count have to keep looking in your rear-view mirror to see how fast he is gaining on you.
Posted By: SirQuack Re: Mojo? - 01/29/08 04:12 AM
\:\)

Yeah I hope things are ok with everyone at the Mojo estate.
Posted By: RickF Re: Mojo? - 01/29/08 09:12 AM
I think he past my post count sometime during his third month on the boards.

Hope all is well with he and his family.
Posted By: MarkSJohnson Re: Mojo? - 01/29/08 01:56 PM
The boards have lost their Mojo of late....
Posted By: ctown Re: Mojo? - 01/29/08 05:52 PM
I was thinking the same thing. I hope all is well on the Mojo front. He's a really interesting guy, with a great family and unlike most of my other engineer friends, he's funny.

I just thought he's got his mojo workin'.
Posted By: jakewash Re: Mojo? - 01/29/08 07:13 PM
I am sure once things are in order he will be back, I haven't heard from him in over a week now as well.
Posted By: Spoiler Re: Mojo? - 01/29/08 11:51 PM
Hi all...I started the Mojo query in the shoutbox having missed his posts. Hope you're doing well, bud! Looking forward to your A1400-8 comparisons! I don't post as often as others, but I'm a daily lurker! It's emails, then Axiom forum!

All the best,
Joe

Do we need to call in Austin Powers?

Seriously, I hope things are OK with him. His absence was the first thing I noticed when I got back to the forum.

Groovie!

Now that someone was mentioning Lord of the Rings in another thread, I come to this one and am thinking of Mojo as Gandalf. As soon as he's done fighting the Balrog, he'll be back in brighter clothes, just watch.

I'm waiting for the distant echoes of "You... shall not... PASS!"

Yeah... no one says half-a-watt like he does!

Ok, now I'm getting concerned. Any of you Mojo Canadians in contact with Tex?
Posted By: Murph Re: Mojo? - 02/05/08 03:34 PM
Ummmm, you know Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world right? Maybe the 1st largest? I'm not really sure how Russia is divided up now. I believe it is still bigger whatever it's largest section is called.

In any case, our carrier seagulls can only fly so fast.

Anyone know how to get in touch with Mojo? Alan and Amie, did you perhaps change contact info with him?
Posted By: terzaghi Re: Mojo? - 02/05/08 05:22 PM
I'm a bit concerned as well...

when was the last time anyone heard from him?
Posted By: jakewash Re: Mojo? - 02/05/08 06:59 PM
January 17th was my last contact, he had made a trip home and I know he will be awhile. I am surprised he hasn't popped in once in awhile though.
Posted By: Zarak Re: Mojo? - 02/06/08 12:54 PM
He's just following in Sushi's footsteps.

Hey, Mojo's replying!
Posted By: Mojo Re: Mojo? - 02/10/08 03:25 AM
Geez fellas, I'm sorry. I don't know what to say. I didn't think my absence would be so traumatic for you all \:\) .

My father passed away on Jan. 13th, my mom & sister are a total mess and I've been dealing with funeral, estate matters, etc pretty much by myself. I didn't realize there is so much to do when someone moves on...especially when things aren't in order!

I was supposed to meet with a couple of board members from Winnipeg when I was there but I had no time whatsoever. I barely even visited with my family because I was either running around during the day or doing paper-work at night.

My father's mortality also woke me up from my rather inactive state. I realized I want to see my kids grow up before I have a heart attack so I've been working out daily since I came back from Winnipeg. So all that, coupled with the fact I am still learning the ins and outs of working for myself and swamped with a contract I'm working on and others knocking on my door has kept me off the board and most likely will continue to do so.

With my trip to Winnipeg and busy schedule, I listened to my EPIC-80 system yesterday for the first time in almost a month! I enjoyed once again one of Alan's recommended selections "Jacques Loussier - The Best of Bach" in PLIIx:M and was immediately transported to a "better state". An amazing recording on amazing speakers. I have been listening to jazz through the audiobytes quite frequently though as I've been working and continue to really enjoy them. I am really glad I purchased them. You guys may want to check out this free jazz radio toolbar ; I love all the stations and the music quality.

Oh, and I haven't burned out yet...although I may be very close.

It's nice to hear from you, even if it's just to hear that we won't be seeing you around here regularly. I'm sorry about your father.

I may have to check out that Bach.

Sorry to hear about your Father Tex. My thoughts will be with you and your family. Take care and God bless you all.
Posted By: SirQuack Re: Mojo? - 02/10/08 03:33 AM
Hey Tex,

Great to have you back, however, I am very sorry to hear about your father. I helped my father get things in order when my grandma passed away a few years ago. It can be difficult getting things in order at the same time your dealing with a loss of a family member.

Take care my friend.
Posted By: St_PatGuy Re: Mojo? - 02/10/08 03:56 AM
Yes, glad to see you back, Tex. I, too, am sorry to hear about your father. Please take care of yourself and your family.
Posted By: JohnK Re: Mojo? - 02/10/08 04:00 AM
Mo, my condolences on the loss of your father; may he rest in peace.

I was sure that your absence was due to some significant personal matter, and now it's completely understood. Estate planning is one of my practice areas and the complications certainly can be substantial.

Hope that you will be able to find the time to stop in occasionally.

Tex, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I wish you strength and peace of mind.

Tex, let me add my condolences to everyone else's. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Mojo:
I'm sorry to hear of your Father's passing. I can't really say that I know what you're going through, as I haven't experienced it. You'll be in my thoughts.

Regarding the boards: I'm sure you're overwhelmed of late, but don't forget to come by and say hi pretty often. The fact that this thread exists shows that your "second family" here cares....

Again, please accept my condolences and let me know if there's anything I can do....
Posted By: Ray3 Re: Mojo? - 02/10/08 11:53 PM
Tex - so sorry to hear of your loss.
Posted By: ZG Re: Mojo? - 02/11/08 12:47 AM
Mojo,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I lost mine nine years ago. The best advice I was given at the time was to be patient with myself. Sounds like you've got a mountain of responsibilities there. I know the feeling. But you also have a great audio set up that will let you escape into yourself. Music is my favorite place to escape to. Enjoy that at least.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Sorry for your loss.

Please don't forget to stop in when you find time.

Besides, Who else will talk about half a watt amps and 40 hz crossovers as much as you?
Posted By: ihifi Re: Mojo? - 02/11/08 01:21 AM
Tex, I would like to add my deep condolences on your father's passing. I wish you and the rest of your family strength and solace in this time of sorrow.

We will keep it at 1/2 watt around here until you return full swing.

Warm regards,

John

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father Tex, good luck with the new business gig and try not to carry too much of burden ... that can't be good for the heart either.
Posted By: pmbuko Re: Mojo? - 02/11/08 02:24 AM
Sorry for your loss and the subsequent unexpected burdens, Mojo. If there's anything that I can identify with in your situation, is that music is a fantastic healer, and I've escaped -- if only temporarily -- from many a tough ordeal with it.
Posted By: Murph Re: Mojo? - 02/11/08 01:15 PM
Sorry to hear of your troubles Tex. Time heals and the memories soon bring renewed fondness along with the sadness. Keep them close and stay well.
Posted By: skyhawk669 Re: Mojo? - 02/11/08 02:50 PM
All my condolences Tex. I can't imagine how it must feel to lose your own father. I lost my grandfather on Christmas eve and that was tough. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sorry for your loss, Tex.

When I was coping with the illness and loss of my Dad a few years ago, I distilled my survival and success strategy down to "Show up. Do your best. Be nice". I continue to rely on that mantra as I careen between situations.

Your family is lucky to have you.

Thanks for chiming in.

All the best Mojo. All your help is greatly appreciated. Even though I don't know you, you come across as being a very genuine and sincere person. You also have a great sense of humor :).

Take care and I hope to hear from you again.
