I just wanted to express my feelings about the season and life in general.
I’d like to start off by wishing everyone at Axiom and at this forum the best of the best. I hope this season brings you much happiness and the New Year exceeds your expectations.
Sorry to sound so “Pollyannaish” but my life in the past year has really turned around and it seems to have given me a real jolt of optimism.
A few of you know that a year ago I lost my mother and then two months later my wife of 30+ years passed away. To say the least I was devastated and in a deep depression.
I’m lucky enough to have stunning friends, both in the real world and online, (Jack especially). They made sure that I had support and love. I took each day at a time and worked at trying to see the positive things in life.
This August I met a woman and we started dating. It was with very mixed feelings as you can well imagine but over the last few months things have gotten a lot better for me and I’m lucky to be able to say that at the advanced, ...well compared to most on this forum
age of 62 I’m back in love and feel that I very much have a bright future.
Feeling this way I just wanted to express my thoughts to all of you and wish you the best that this season can bring. No matter how you celebrate it, please enjoy it.
And thank you all for your entertaining and interesting posts this year.
Wayne
Wayne, I am very happy for you! It's so good to hear that you are doing well and have found a new relationship.
And, I'd like to extend my warmest holiday wishes to you and to all the Axiom board members, friends and all, that make this forum such a nice place to visit and hang out.
Cheers, everyone!
Wishing you and yours (and all here on the Axiom boards)a very safe and happy Christmas.
During this special time of year let’s not forget the less fortunate, particularly the children of the world.
Happy Holidays to all!!!
Man, we got alot of snow, and more coming. At least Santa will be happy.
Yes, happy holidays to everyone, and the best in the New Year. May all your New Year's resolutions/wishes come true!! I've never wished that I could walk again (it will never happen), nor do I care, but I figure what the heck I'm going to take this whole walkie thing one step at a time. So my New Year's resolution is that I will be able to wiggle my right great toe by the end of 2009!!
Wish me luck everyone
Wayne (and all),
The merriest Christmas, Hanukkah, Quanza, whatever to all of you. This board is great, and I am very thankful to have been able to discuss audio/video/life with all of you over the last year.
Wayne, I am very happy that you have found companionship. It must have been very hard losing your wife after all of those years together. I don't think I would be able to deal with something as devastating as that...
Happy Holidays to all of you... What a great bunch of guys and gals to be associated with.
Steve
A Merry Christmas to all Axiomites the world over...... and to those not in the Axiom family as well.
Glad to hear things are working out for you Wayne.
Very nice Wayne, good news indeed.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Happy New Year.
Wayne, I cannot tell you how encouraged I am to hear your news. I am so happy for you. What you experienced last year would've destroyed me. Hearing that you made it through, and have now emerged in such good shape, is joyous.
To all, I hope this holiday season is full of love, happiness, and peace of mind. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thanks for sharing Wayne. As I learned the hard way, it can take a while to recover from some of the blows life deals us.
Merry Christmas all.
Seasons greetings from my end as well.
Seasons greetings from my end as well.
Aw! [***plugging nose]
To have emerged from your ordeal with such high hopes and optimism is a testament to your friends as much as it is a testament to your own fortitude, Wayne. I can only hope I have the same sort of folks within easy reach should something similar befall my loved ones.
Merry Christmas to all!
I know this past year was a very trying time for you and I'm very glad to hear that things are turning around for you Wayne, congratulations and I wish the best for you and your special lady during the Holidays!
I guess now that you'll be busy dating we'll not see the magical 1,000th post in '09 then?
David, you've been a member of the family long enough now that you should realize that with Peter lurking in the wings ready to pounce, you should be more cautious in your choice of terminology!
Wayne, we're so glad to hear that after the trials you experienced last year that you'll be having a happier holiday season this year with your lady. An especially Merry Christmas then to you, as well as to all the members of the Axiom family.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. It was just around this time last year that I was feverishly planning for my first Axiom purchase. < 12 months later I'm three purchases in and already have my next several mapped out.
The year has gone by amazingly quickly and I can't believe how much time I've spent on these boards since then.
It just goes to show that there really is a good group of folks here that I enjoy "spending time" with.
Thanks to everyone who makes these boards a non-stop learning (and laughing) experience.
Looking forward to another year.
Jason
Happy (miscellaneous) holidays to everyone! Wayne, good to hear that you're doing well.
Wishing everyone a happy holiday season.
Happy (miscellaneous) holidays to everyone!
Thats better than happy festive season.

Wayne, I am happy to hear you've had some blessings in your life as of late. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your special gal, and to everyone around these parts.
God Bless you all..
Thats Christafestivus dammit!!
I think I dated Christa Festivus in college.
Wasn't she a groupie for Negative Orange?
I don't know, but I bet St_PatGuy has the backstage passes and unauthorized video to prove it!
Whew, that went unanswered for far too long. I knew there was a disturbance in the force somewhere!
Yeah, I tried thinking of one last night. . .but I fell asleep.
Thanks for picking up the slack!
This is probably my last day of Axiom board surfing for a while so I just wanted to echo my wishes for a fun filled Christmas Season to everyone.
Whatever you find joy in, be it traditional or not, big or small, extravagant or simple... savor it and make it a memory to last the whole year.
Andrew
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, my friends. You are all dear to me. I hope the season brings joy and renewal for you and your loved ones.
I hope the season brings joy and renewal for you. . .
That reminds me, my AAA is due. Thanks, Tom!

That reminds me, my AAA is due. Thanks, Tom!
Yea, and that reminds me ... my AARP is due, Thanks Sean!
But I do get the Senior Citizen's discount though.
LOL!
Good one! I need to AAA also.
I have to renew my AA meetings.
You strike me as the kind of guy who would say, "Rehab is for quitters!"
HO HO HO Merry Xmas from London ON.....
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all from snowy Tsawwassen!
Another 6" of the white stuff arrived overnight.
Thankfully the arctic blast is leaving this weekend
My Christmas Greeting:
'Twas the day before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, 'cept at Bridgman's (a Mouse!)
The Plasmas were hung over the chimney with care,
Of all of the choices, that's not the best there!
The forum members all were out shopping,
In their minds? New M80s a-hopping;
And Amie in her 'kerchief, and Ian in his cap,
Had just settled…for a long Canadian nap,
When out near the docks there arose such a clatter,
Ian sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window he flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The sun on the lake and new-fallen snow
A lustre of piano-gloss sheen to objects below!
When… What? Could it really be?,
Oh Gawd, a miniature Hummer (and on top, a tree)!
With a twinkle-eyed driver, St Alan I see!
In the back an 800, Marked for CV!
More rapid than electrons, his coursers they came,
And he hummed (not sang), then called them by name;
"Now, Jack! now, Peter! now, TomTuttle and Ken!
On, JP! on Ray! on, Sean and Bren!
To the front of the Hummer! Quick! Make a Hitch!
All-wheel drive? Pffft! It's stuck in a ditch!!"
So they pulled and they heaved, "Give One More Good Try!"
A final tug and UP! They flew to the sky!
So up to the roof-tops Alan he flew,
With a Hummer full of Speakers, and (reasonably-priced) Interconnects too!
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on my roof
The boom boom boom of a DSP woof.
And now a shimmer: Oh! A tweeter I hear,
Down the chimney came Alan and here's me, with no beer!
He was dressed like a Mountie, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with sawdust and soot;
A bundle of Epics he had flung on his back,
And he looked pretty old, yet still younger than Jack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! His dimples: how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, Quick! Someone get Mary!
In his hands a huge package, (shut up Peter!), but what could it be?
On the side, "M-100"; and for under my tree!
The bass would be smooth, the mids oh so silky
I regretted lack of beer; I only had milk-y
Alan had a broad belly and a big belt amids,
The cookies, at least, would last until Wids.
St. Alan had keen ears, townspeople say,
"Solid State", he would say, just like JohnK.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
The sweet spot is now widened (and deepened!) he said.
He spoke not a word, but he managed my bass,
(It's spelled with two esses, not an "e" stupid-face)!!
And Peaks and Valleys, now they are all gone!
Square room? Not me! Now it is Oblong!
He sprang to his hummer, and shouted Yallo…!
Not a B-stock here, all will be VasSallo!
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"No Tubes! Digital Amps to all! Bye Now! Good-Night."
Excellent, Mr. Mark! No wonder you don't have time to tweak your system!
Thanks for the update, Wayne. I'm glad to hear growing brightness has re-entered your life.
To all: Happy Holidays!
That was great, Mark!
Priceless, Mark. Now you have to do it every year.
Priceless, Mark. Now you have to do it every year.
He probably already did! Sounded familiar... KIDDING!
Here's my limerick contribution:
Nights before Christmas can be stressed
particularly if your spouse just wants rest
while you're just dying
and can't stop trying
to desperately get her undressed.
Wayne - what great news. Sounds like a visit from Santa Cialis would be much appreciated this year.
Good on you for being in a position to need it, and more importantly, WANT it.
Mark - priceless.
To the rest of you guys - I don't stop in as often as I used to or would like to, but I treasure this forum and its denizens.
Happy Holidays To All!
Excellent Mark!
Merry Christmas to all of my Axiom brethren!
Thanks for the smile Mark. Good stuff.
Well done Mark! brought a smile to my face.
Classic Mark, as was said we will be excpecting a new one every year. Happy Holidays everyone!
I vote for Mark as Axiom Poet Laureate!
Good stuff.
Happy Holidays, everyone!
Excellent Mark! Made me grin.
By the way, happy 7th birthday to the recording of Regina Spektor's second album, Songs.
I knew Christmas had meaning.
Great story Mark!!!
I can't wait for the illustrated version.
