So the trio is coming up to good old CT casino. Going to perform Moving Pictures in its entirety. Anyone seen them on this tour yet? I saw them 2 years ago and they were still amazing live (especially Peart).
I saw the original "Moving Pictures" tour in the early 80's, still remember the drum solo, Count Floyd on the screen, and a few of the songs but not all...the, uh "weather" at ol' Maple Leaf Gardens was, ummm, cloudy.
I haven't seen them on this tour yet. They hit Utah on 8/5/2010 and I will be there. I also saw them for the Snakes and Arrows tour and they were fabulous. Please report back on the show as I'd like to hear how it is.
I also picked up the documentary "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage" on blu-ray and am going to watch that Wednesday night with some friends that are also going to the Utah concert. I hear it is good. Any thoughts?
I've never been to a Rush concert. ::kicks stones with hands in pockets::
Yeah, I recommended that documentary when I saw it on TV several weeks ago. I really liked it.
Well the show was awesome, I prefered the setlist over the snakes and arrows tour, and there's some really amazing lighting, pyro, and videos. You're going to enjoy the little clips they put together for this tour, I won't spoil the suprise, but very funny! They played a stick it out and leave that thing alone, which are two songs I love that I didn't expect.
Oh I forgot they did 2 songs off their yet to be released album, very good songs at that! Caravan and B2BU
I've never been to a Rush concert.
BURRRRNNNN HIMMMMMM!!!
Get Neil to play the cowbells on his noggin.
Sah? Sah? May I hove mor cowbell, sah?
I saw them as part of the Toronto SAR-Stock show a few years ago.
Both Rush and AC/DC made the Rolling Stones look bad
Ahh Bubbles, is there anything he can't do?

Aw, c'mon, we all know you went just to see Justin Timberlake.
I'm seeing them at Jones Beach Saturday, really looking forward to hearing Moving Pictures in its entirety. Playing it right now, then maybe Permanent Waves and 2112 tonight.
Thanks for the review and information Erik. I'm looking forward to the show.
I saw them last week in Quebec City, great show, two new songs on the first set, very good, and of course the drum solo was awesome.
You know, I got there early, and can say I saw all the acts.....
But I don't remember his performance. I guess not being tuned into "who/what" he is helps!!
Yeah, as a pop star, he was conspicuously out of place with those three legendary hard rock acts. To his credit, though, he realized this, and sensing the crowd reaction, started off his set with the immortal words, "OK, let's get this over with!"
