See the red banner up above.

I suspect what it means is that after Dec 16, you have to pay for expedited shipping in order to get to you by Dec 24.

That's what I assumed also, Ken.

Maybe now, as a special offer, it's "free-er than free"?

Added value: Now 30% more Free!

Hmmm. I was thinking that maybe it meant that for some foreign shipping that you currently have to pay for is now free. Yeah. I think I'll move to Cuba.

Wow, gift certificates. I sent an email to all my friends. Now, I just wait for the money to roll in.

:waiting:

Waiting is hard.

Are you waiting for money or for friends?

You sound like Ray.

that is what I posted on the shout board, it is always free anyway.

I'm obviously spending too much time with software licensing.

The little voice in my head started saying "maybe it's free as in freedom rather than free as in beer" before I clubbed it into silence with an imaginary 2x4.

Can't say I ever understood that phrase.

True!

This banner doesn't make sence, I read this as if I purchase after the 16th of Dec. I will be charged shipping.

I believe this to be more of a reminder and to entice those on the edge to jump in and buy now otherwise you will have to pay for expidited shipping in order to have your purchase before Christmas.

Peter, as I've commented previously, apparently(cf Orwell)some is more free than others.

I think it means the box will come festivus looking in wrapping paper.

Hey Jason, it may mean that, and I do agree, but it doesn't say that.

Consider if this was the first time you visited the axiom website.

Seems kind of a shallow ploy to generate xmas business. "Better do it now or else..."

Not saying this is bad, my wife and I run a retail store and will also do similar advertising, Even at Monster.ca we do promotions to convince customers to purchase within the quarter.

Except here, shipping is always free, so why is it now only free to the 16th?

"I guess I better order those M2's before I have to pay shipping!"

I miss the good old days when banners like this could say "Christmas" rather than "Holiday" so it would be obvious that the banner was talking about a specific date.

It's hard to even find cards that say "Merry Christmas" up here these days, they all say "Seasons Greetings" or "Happy Holidays". Bah !!

Merry Christmas John smile

Interesting, the free shipping page is source IP sensitive. When I checked it out from work (our internet gateway is in the US) it said Free shipping in the US. From home it says Free shipping in Canada.

On the other hand, I have no idea what the free shipping promotion is. Maybe if you order before December 16 shey ship you a free holiday?

Oh god, are we doing this thread again, too?

Happy Kwanzaa, Ken.

It says free shipping from Somalia if you go to checkout. If that is the case they should specify that the promotion is for free international shipping. As it is described at this moment it looks like a rather lame marketing ploy especially for those that realize shipping is already "free" in North America (CAN, USA).
