Well as some of you old-timers know I (used to) work insane hours at IMAX. While it was a thrill to work on some of the biggest movies and it did afford me the
biggest thrill of my life, there's only so much a guy can take. The stress and hours were taking a physical toll on me. (No job is worth chest pains!) So...long story short (and believe me I'm sparring you the sordid details)
Those crazy hours added to the fact that I've run out of room in my house for any more Axiom products kept me away.
While I still have no place to put any more speakers (save perhaps some of those audiobytes!), I've started my
own business doing post production work, trying to focus on film restoration. I've been hustling trying to find jobs, and slowly it's coming together. Fingers crossed I my sign a deal to restore four films soon. That'll keep me busy enough that I will be able to focus on doing that work, and relax a bit hunting down the next gig.
I missed chatting with you guys! It's so good to see so many regulars still here!
Craig, best wishes for success in the business.
That's awesome, Craig! I wish you success with your business.
Can you talk about the films you are hoping to restore? Or is that taboo?
Best wishes for success doing what you love. Great looking website! Cheers!

When I have a signed contract I'll let you know!
Great to see you back here, Craig.
Are you going to stick around, or is this another tease?
Very cool, Craig. I, too, have always been dazzled by "the movies." I am a devoted film buff, with a particular passion for the movies of the 30s and 40s.
I would have loved to have been a part of the production, in front of or behind the camera, of even just one really good movie. Kudos to you for following your dream.
Wishing you the best with your business. I will be interested. Please keep us posted if and when you can.

Most people have fond memories of the media that was popular when they were middle aged.
Good to see you back Craig, good luck with the business.
Hey Mr. Spiff
Nice to see ya again. Hope your business is a huge success.
Thanks for all the well wishes!
Craig being a former Business owner myself for five years, I know all too well the road you'll be traveling. I want to wish you the very best of luck on your endeavor.
Happy birthday, Craig. All the best with your business.
P.S. That's a dangerous signature around these parts....You might want to change it to what your favorite colour is, or the thugs may come after ya.
Good luck with the business. Over the years, watching interviews with actors stunt men etc, and again watching all the 'making of' footage from Lord of the Rings, I am amazed at the lengths to whicn people will go to entertain us for a couple of hours.
You have chosen a very interesting career.
Craig, welcome to the ranks of the self-employed one-man show. Best of luck with your efforts.

Craig,
Nice to see you back. Living in Rochester, (George Eastman House and film museum), I got into a routine with the United Way corporate "One Day of Caring". Every year, we got to go into the vaults (with hats to cover our hair, booties for our feet and cotton gloves)that were environmentally controlled to work with the old films and pictures, some of them pre-talkie.
I used to look forward to it, then became one of the planners so I could assure a spot for myself.
Incredible stills (mostly we sorted/categorized) and old films. I held some canisters of some incredible original films in my hands (Ben Hur comes to mind). It was terrific stuff.
Hopefully, everything will take off for you in this new venture, especially since you are doing something you enjoy.
Craig, congrats and good luck on the new endeavor! I know Hollywood can be a tough place to hang your independent shingle, but with your time in the industry and the contacts made during that time, I'm sure you've got the support network to get things rolling.
Again, congrats!
Welcome back Craig, missed you AND your avatar... continue to live the dream, best of luck with everything!
Hope things work out for you Craig, life is no fun when you're not having any.
Welcome back Craig!
Enjoy what you can, learn from the rest.
Good to see you around again!
Are you still enjoying the new home?
No, he hates his new home and he's conspiring to have it torched.
What kind of ? is that? Duh!
Hey, Lampy, still enjoying that new wife?
Spiff, i have a friend in the industry, a producer, who used to work with
CTV for many years and took contracts with the likes of
Frantic Films.
You never know if one's work may have use for another so i'll PM you his Linkedin profile.

Oh, oh, Chess is becoming a Rotarian!
Oh Bob, don't be such an Brutocheran.
{see, i can make up words too}
LOL
I think it was all the homemade Canadian hooch he consumed at the Axiom GTG that started him rotating.
Oh Bob, don't be such an Brutocheran.

I guess there are no Rotary Clubs in Canada, or Kiwanis, or K of C, or Lions, or... How'd you get off so easy?

Socialism has its advantages. Gee, Fred! I would say that the odds that you have thrown political chum into the waters off Newport Beach are as good as me farting between now and the time I go to bed.
Oh dear, I seem to have forgotten to include the smileys.
Too late! I already farted!
Thanks for that facebook update.
Fred, if I could actually fart on Facebook, I'd sign up.
I'd be like a Medeival French turret guard.
Scratch 'n sniff is due for technology update.
Glad to see thread hijacking is still happily allowed around here. LOL!

Actually, we do have all those things, although I had to think about what "K of C" was for a few minutes before it came to me. At first I was thinking Kentucky Fried Chicken, then no, it needs "of" in it. Kentucky of Fried Chicken, Knights of Fried Chicken? Ahhhh, Knights of Columbus!
Funny how the mind can work sometimes.
So, Murph, you're telling me that Chess should have known what a Rotarian was? And Fred, too?! (Hmmm. What to do about that, what to do?)
Craig, when Fred writes, "Scratch 'n' Sniff," you should wait a post or two before replying, 'cause I went straight directly to Scratch 'n' Spiff and sniffnme. Yes, Andrew, it can be "funny" how one's brain works.
Ah poor Bob.
I was being facetious.
Yes i can google words too!!
