Thanks, guys! I never thought I'd make it. Is 35 officially middle-aged?
Posted By: MarkSJohnson Re: CV's Birthday - 01/01/13 07:35 PM
No, dammit.

Approaching 50, I've decided that middle age is 65.
Posted By: CatBrat Re: CV's Birthday - 01/01/13 07:59 PM
At 60 and seeing siblings going looney at 65, I'd say 32 1/2 is middle aged for me.

With 60 being the new 40, no way is 35 considered middle aged! Under this new math theory, 35 would be the new 15. That makes you a pup.

Happy birthday, nude!

PS. I'm not editing the above wishes because this is one of those times that the voice dictation software's interpretation of what I said is just too funny!

I knew my birthday suit would come in handy! I'm glad I didn't get rid of it! Thanks again, guys. smile

My birthday suit looks kinda fluffy. I wish there was an easy fix for that.

Sorry man. I saw fairly "off-line" all day yesterday. Happy Birthday day #2!

Hey Charles. Hope you continue to have an awesome Birthday week. Keep it going as long as you can.

smile Thanks again, guys. I had a good day yesterday. My best friend took me out for lunch, and then I was lazy the rest of the day. Even the hot girl said happy birthday to me, but she still hasn't agreed to go to lunch with me again, even though she was the one who suggested it.

Charles, maybe if you would have picked up the check the last time...
Posted By: CV Re: CV's Birthday - 01/03/13 06:40 AM
Thanks, Mary! And JohnK, I did pick up the check, I swear! She said she would get the next one, so that's probably why it's not happening. Ha ha.

Glad you had a great day Charles.

Your hot girl tale reminded me of a friend at works successful lunch ploy that I'll share in case it can actually work twice in a row. Short term ending, they got married a year or so later. Although, you may not want to ask about the long term.

Same scenario. He payed for lunch, she promised next time but it never came about. So he brought her some nice takeout lunch to work one day he noticed she was working through lunch to catch up on stuff. Here is what she later said was the key....

She was very hesitant in pursuing a work relationship and wasn't so sure about the guy either. She said she would have been quiet embarrassed if he had just plunked himself down and took it upon himself to joined her for lunch in her cubicle but he was smart and very discreetly brought her the lunch and after she thanked him, he said he was off to the break room to eat his. After a few minutes, she abandoned her work and joined him in the break room.

I'm not necessarily saying this will work, but hey, it's a nice gesture in any case. And if you end up with soup on your head, I live much too far away for you to come punch me in the head. smile
