I'm putting together a few systems for my inlaws'- whole house audio/video system.

I've been out of the "upgrade" loop for a while, so I thought I'd come here for some recs.

Here's some requirements:
HDMI switching (upconversion not required)
Auto calibration (like MCACC)
Multiple assignable digital inputs
2nd or Multizone
5.1 (7.1 not required)

Nice to have's:
iPod integration
XM ready

The new Denon 2807 looks like it'll fit the bill. The Outlaw is nice but no 2nd zone, at least not from what I can tell. Any others to look at?

Thanks.

Just my two cents, but if I was to upgrade again my first choice would be the 2807.

I too would say take a good look at the 2807.

You're right, the Outlaw 1070 receiver has no second zone. This was its fatal flaw for me. To get a second zone with Outlaw you have to move up to separates such as the 990 prepro, and there's no need for you to do that with all of the quality receiver options out there.

How does the 3806 compare to the 2807?

I'll even tack on a second part of the question and ask, "How does the 3806 compare to the 3805"? besides a few hundred dollars....

The 2807 and 3806 are very similar, the 3805 does not have HDMI or Sat radio capabilities.
