I just received confirmation that my Epic Grand Master 500 system is en route and will arrive tomorrow. I feel like Christmas came early (according to me wife, it did - no presents this year

)! Tomorrow can't come soon enough.

This is my first HT speaker purchase, I have been using the speakers on my SONY SXRD since I purchased it last December. I think I am in for a rude awakening! I think my head may explode

I ordered the Cinnamon Beech finish. One I get everything set up I will post pics. Now I just hope my receiver and cables come tomorrow as well...

I have been researching and reviewing systems for several months now, and this board has been extrememly helpful in making my choice. I also lurk on the AVS forum but peeps seem a bit nicer and less high strung here.

I have looked at that cinnamon stain and it is sweet. I know that you will enjoy them.

I think you will be impressed with the Cinnamon Beech finish. My wife selected the same finish for our system.

Nice setup there, it's quite similar to the one that I just ordered about a week and a half ago. Too bad I have another few weeks to wait before I get mine

. Funny thing is I have my receiver and cables sitting at home waiting for the speakers :P. Oh well. How long did it take after you ordered before they shipped?

I too have been using average speakers up to this point, an old Pioneer HTIB. It's been okay, but always lacking somewhat on clairity and big boomy movie scenes.

Jason, it was shipped 3 weeks after the order was placed. About 5 days to receive. Make sure you or someone is home to receive the shipment. The delivery was one day early, and my neighbor graciously held them for me (luckily they are honest!) She told me that otherwise I would have had to go to the airport (JFK) and pick them up at the distribution center!

Speakers here, cables here - receiver on its way - hopefully today!

Rock, the finish is quite striking, I also went with the burnt sienna grills. They match my furniture beautifully. I was not expecting the surround speakers to be so heavy.
Much different than the usual run of the mill surrounds!
