Ok seems like no one has one to give their review. Does anyone have any knowledge on them? Are they worth trying out? Seems to be a great concept in the product. Just want to know if they are all that Sony says they are.....
I think this is a fairly new product. Sony have a long past of sturdy disk changers. I have their 400 DVD/SACD changer and love it. When I have enough TV series on Blu-ray (probably another year or so), a BD change like those from Sony will become attractive.
Aaron, I don't have the Blu-ray player, but the Sony mega-changers in general are excellent. I'd never again put up with the inconvenience of a single-disc player.
The problems that are being brought up are in the software it seems. This player boasts the ability to download disc title and artwork to make it easy to find the disc you want to play. Seems that people are complaining about its ability to actually find accurate data.
I would think this product would be more available through more than one company. do you know of any other brands that offer a similar product?
With any product on the market, your always going to have positive and negative reviews. Some people have problems, others do not. Have you read any favorable reviews? I'm guessing if there are any problems, Sony will address them with a firmware update or something. Maybe just relax and watch how things pan out, or do you have to have it NOW.
If you only filled it with Blu-rays, then there'd be no problem. The disc itself has the title and artwork right there. I already have enough BDs to half fill the thing too.
I will be filling it with BD and DVD. I am sure that Sirquack is right. If there are in fact problems I am sure Sony will correct them with firmware. Dont need it now but do want it. Thre is one model for $1900 and one for $700. Have to figure out the difference.
LOL @Mark. Anybody else picture him as "That Guy" in photos, you know, the guy in the background who makes a face or surprises everybody by jumping into the action?
I take it back. The two models numbers are BDP-CX960, and BDP-CX7000ES. The second being a Sony ES product. So the biggest actual difference will be the price.
