Sure, you can say it in an essay, but can you say it in six words? Exactly six words? Check out our contest and let the most articulate Axiomoe win!

Axiom Audio, sounds as it should.

Tom's entry made me cry.

This one I am submitting for Ken. This does not count as his real post unless he wins (meaning he can post his own submission if he wants).

I thought we were only putting them in the other link. Here's a copy of mine. Don't laugh.

Shaddup, Murph.

wink

You know, I was thinking of you while at a new (to me) restaurant recently. At Dirty Oscar's Annex, the food was cool, but what caught my eye is that they are leaning heavily on purveying moonshine from Carolina. While enjoyable, I thought it inferior to PEI Shine.
Posted By: Amie Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/05/12 08:51 AM
Some very cool entries so far! You guys are good!
Posted By: Murph Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/05/12 11:48 AM
Hey Tom, a place that serves "the perfect $10.00 beer dinner" and moonshine? This needs to become a franchise!

PEI didn't repeal prohibition until 1948 so there was lots of time for product development. My Grandad could have been a character on "Boardwalk Empire". Except it would be more like "Wharf Empire".

Edit:
Hey you just inspired an entry for me.

What a load of stinking crap.
I can't think of anything here.
Do conjunctions count or not realy?
Maybe something audio related would work.
Should I use Axiom in mine?
I love the sound of Axiom!
I would buy again and again!
My work here is now done.

We're getting some pretty great entries! That login-with-facebook thing works I guess!

It's hard resist six word sentences.

Hey guys, first time poster here... but I thought I would kick in on this very interesting challenge.

The Challenge - "What six words characterize your experience with music?"

My Response - "Life long persuit of perfect sounds"

Cheers!

Oh no, Tom said haiku. . .
Posted By: Ken.C Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/10/12 12:26 AM
Why, what is wrong with
Haiku? It is always a
joy to share with friends.

Although the pedants
among us will want to point
out, no haikus here.

Pedant is a six letter word.

or

Posted By: Murph Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/10/12 01:18 PM
What's important about seven, a cube.

But a cube has six sides.

Not if you count the inside.

Another excuse to quote The Doctor.
Posted By: nickbuol Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/10/12 02:26 PM
I like your thinking Murph.

A cube is not a block.

Would it thus be twelve sides?

Or is the inside just one?

Maybe The Doctor has the answer.

And I don't watch Dr. Who.

My "edit" note is six words.
Posted By: CatBrat Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/10/12 03:04 PM
How many sides would a cube have if you drilled a round hole through the middle?

You can only use six words.

I will convert it for you.

I have a couple of analogue-centric phrases, even though I can't win anything! wink

Music is not ones and zeros.

Music begins when a record spins.

Straight up,andrew. I haven't listened to so much music in 25 yrs. I bought a MMF 7.1, project Tube box and i play records for hours on end.
I just recieved some Morrow Audio interconnects. Hopefully will see how much of this cable nonsense is BS.

Wow - the entries have finished and we've narrowed it down to the top 6. Should have the winner and first runner up tomorrow - I'm just not sure how we're going to get there yet. Thanks to all who played along - this was a fun one!
Posted By: chesseroo Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/20/12 11:05 PM
Here's one for you Amie:

"Red wine bottles ARE my shrine!"

Does the exclamation point count as a word?
It just doesn't work w/o the exclamation point.

Posted By: chesseroo Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/20/12 11:06 PM
Wait, was this a contest with something to do about Axiom?
Or just 6 words in general?

I have a few others that i just can't bring myself to put into print.
Posted By: CV Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 06:23 AM
Well, I got an email saying I was a runner-up, which included a discount code for an order, but I have to use it by November 4th. Eeeeeevil. I suppose it's a good thing, since I was unsure what thing for my basement I was going to buy next. I did want to try a VP180, to hopefully replace my M22, so I'm leaning towards that. I look forward to hearing who won.
Posted By: DanielBMe Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 12:51 PM
I got the same thing. I'm using my discount to get
2 x ep500
1pr M22's
1 x vp150

I'm just waiting to see if the discount applies to the 5% discount I'm getting for buying 5 pieces.

That's quite a bit of money saved!
Posted By: MarkSJohnson Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 01:46 PM
You guys got the same 75% discount code I got? Awesome!!
Posted By: pmbuko Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 01:55 PM
The EP800 I got for 9th place is due to arrive tomorrow.
Posted By: medic8r Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 05:38 PM
Does everyone else have Ian flying in on the private jet to find the optimal placement of the prize LFR's or is that just what I got for 13th place?
Posted By: DanielBMe Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 06:26 PM
Boooo! It looks like I may not be able to use my discount with the 5% multi item discount because I'm trading in my HG M80's. That would suck! I finally win something and it's snatched away!

C'mon Axiom, have pity on me...
Posted By: Murph Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 06:52 PM
Gratz Guys!!!!
Posted By: CatBrat Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/23/12 08:38 PM
So, who won? And what was the phrase?

All y'all need to be more observant!
Posted By: lucv13 Re: It's a Six-Word Challenge . . . - 10/24/12 05:08 AM
Turn them on, they will disappear!

While I'm happy that my quip was chosen, I'm hoping that the prize is transferrable as I don't see myself making any purchases anytime soon. I would gladly offer up the $25 gift certificate to a deserving member who would use it

Hey Cat, I was one of the joint winners, http://www.axiomaudio.com/blog/winner-of-the-six-word-contest/ I'm with Luc, not sure what I want/need so it would be cool to be able to transfer to a friend. Of course, a second sub would be really nice.....
