New M3s

These are my first ever speakers, and as you can see, I still don't have anything to drive them (working on getting an Onkyo 606).

You can try talking very loud into the binding posts to drive them! ;\)
They look good on your TV stand.
Welcome to the world of great sound!

Very cool, eK-XL!! Those M3s look very nice in your room. Seems like the perfect size for your set-up. Oh man, nothing to drive them with yet?? How can you stand it?

Let us know what you think we you get 'em crankin'!

Good looking setup eK-XL! The M3's are an excellent match with your stand and bookshelf. Love the x-mas tree in the pic too :). Nice clean setup \:\) \:\) :)! Where are you planning putting the reciever (bottom left shelf?).

Congrats and welcome to family! \:\) \:\) \:\) !!!

Cheers,

I wonder if you could power them with a couple of old "potato clocks"?

Seriously though, they *look* nice. I bet they will *sound* nice too.

I've got an old BOOM box from back in the early 80's that has external speaker terminals, that might work. \:\)

cool! I see you have a 360 and a ps3? What games do you play? My xbox live gamertag is "terzaghi" and my PS3 username is "terzaghi83".

Yah, not having a receiver is tough, but I've spent a lot on christmas presents and I need to wait and see where my finances are before I spend another $300+

Dr. House: Yup, Bottom left, you got it. I'll take out the component switcher too, since I won't be needing it anymore.

Terzaghi: and a Wii as well (it's a bit hidden from that angle though). Here are the games I have:

xbox 360
--------
Forza 2
Full Auto
Gears of War 1 + 2
Oblivion
PGR4
Viva Pinata
Assault Heroes
Braid
Doom
Geometry Wars
Hexic
Marble Blast Ultra
Outpost Kalooki X

(additionaly, my girlfriend owns GTA4, Naruto, the new Viva Pinata, Feeding Frenzy, Uno, Rez HD, and Defender)

Playstation 3
-------------
Ninja Gaiden 2
Eye of Judgement (wish I hadn't bought this, never play it)
Wipeout HD
Echochrome
Pixel Junk Monsters
Super Stardust HD

(my girlfriend owns Pixel Junk Eden)

I no longer have a gold account though, because I kept paying for it but not taking advantage of it. I do a lot more online playing on my PC, where I play anything Valve makes. Kinda hard to justify paying $60 for a couple hours of Gears online. Especially when I find playing on the PC more fun. I don't know if you have Wipeout HD, but it'd be fun to give that a whirl online (haven't gone online yet).

---

I can't wait to hear how my games sound on the new system. Thanks to everyone for the compliments about our setup -- most of which we got at IKEA up in Chicago.
