M22v2 Stereo System (update)
I made a couple of changes to my system:
1)Replaced my Dayton Audio/Parts Express 10" sub with a HSU STF-2. Big improvement.
2)Added a Sony Playstation 1 as a redbook CD player. I also have a Sony SCD-CE595 CD/SACD changer. The PS1 sounds better as a redbook player.
Anyway here are a few new pics.

Looking good, and way to find a use for the PS1!

I'm sure this could get some reactions: PlayStation 1: The audiophile's dream?

I hesitated to mention why I hooked up a PS1 as a CD player. It wasn't one we already had at home. It was purchased specifically to use as a Redbook player. Numerous sites have mentioned its audio capabilities. For those who have read about it, it's not all PS1's...but the units that have RCA outputs on the back (model #SCPH-1001). In my system it sounds better than the Sony SCD-CE595 changer I also have hooked up. Here's an article that I'm sure will get some comments: http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/leben2/system_3.html

All I have to see is the FQDN there and I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to read it. Or believe it if I do.
Besides, what happened to the NEC 6x CD-ROM from the mid 90s being the OMGBESTCREAMJEANS transport ever?
That said, if it makes you happy, more power to you.

Hey...it was a very cheap investment to see if some of what is being said about the PS1 is true. The 6 Moons sight is not alone in their praise of the PS1. Art Dudley of Stereophile reviewed the unit too. Sure...there's a lot of snake oil out there in the audio world (high priced cables anyone?). But this is a cheap investment. Try it and see how it sounds in your system. This hobby is about fun and finding inexpensive products that sound good. Axiom's being one such product. In my system, the PS1 sounds very good. How much of that is system synergy...I don't know.
