Either one of your two starting points will work well. I would tend to go with along the 10' wall with the seating about 11' back from the system. If you go the 13' wall then the seating should be against the opposite wall. The speakers will operate fine right up to about 4" from the wall. The point here is that your room may not like it. If it seems a bit boomy you will need to move the speakers out from the wall a bit, probably to about 12", experimenting required.
