Not sure about putting a sub in a cabinet but seems like others are correct... it would defeat the design...

But I can comment upon the 600...

I think it would shake to other componets to pieces (I m sure to 500 would as well) ... in turn probably causing skips on DVDs and it couldnt be good for a tv...

If a compromise must be reached, put the sub elsewhere as mentioned above.
