Cool, I think I'm going down that path entirely by accident. I landed on a HK 635 that I got for 500 bucks. I got to thinking about it and realized that I'll probably replace receivers every few years to get the latest connections and whiz-bang. I was trying to figure out what to do with the extra $ in my budget. Putting the money an an amp fund sounds reasonable.
Separate amps are something I don't have experience with. How do the connections work? If you just amplified the fronts does that make them overpower the rears?
