Wayward, I just got my first Axiom speakers (pair of M80)today and I say wow ! It sounded like everything that I was reading about here. I also own Outlaw gear. Their model 990 preprocessor is a steal given the price. I also bought two Outlaw monoblock amps this week just to drive the M80 speakers. They are setup. I spent countless hours researching and this is my first attempt to go with separates. I still own the Nakamichi receiver which will drive my surround and possibly the center speakers. Those speakers will also end up being Axiom fairly soon (hopefully once I can digest the two mains). Good luck. Happy searching !
