You may want to call them or send a PM, versus using the forums. This subject seems to keep coming up now and then by newbies, and I'm sure the answer can be found by using the search feature. Most "manufacturer" forums do not offer this, however, sites like AVSforum that use mass-marketing and affiliate programs do because they use advertising.
It is my guess that it is "legal" related. They do not want to be a component in a transaction between a buyer and a seller that may go south. Axioms are sold on Amazon and Ebay. Axiom offers a tradeup program as well as the factory outlet. You could always go that route.
