Marse, my HT/Recroom is 30x31x9, now that is a big room. In my situation, I do have some monoblock amps driving my 80's, however, prior to that, the Denon 2805 alone did a very nice job. One reason for the amps, was that often we will be across the room playing pool and like to turn up the 80's form time to time fairly loud for music. The extra headroom of the amps helps with dynamic peaks with less change of clipping at higher volumes, however, as John stated, you will most likely be fine with the receiver you have in your environment. It should play as loud as most people would ever require. Use your money towards better speakers and/or another sub.
