Just to close this out with a positive, I got the final replacement QS8 mounted and running last night and it sounds great. I'm happy to have a working and cosmetically flaw free pair of QS8. I just have to find time to chase the family out of the house so I can calibrate them without a lot of background noise
The QS8s replaced some old floorstanders I used as surrounds which opened up floorspace so we ordered two more home theater chairs (we only needed 2, but with a family now it was time to add more). Now it's time to start saving for a replacement sub and then my upgrades should be done (or else I can start the upgrade cycle again!:)
