Was thinking of using this receiver with my M22's, QS4's and VP150. Anyone have experience with Marantz? It is rated at 50 watts but have read they are conservative with their ratings.

last tuesday i got a new Marantz SR5005; and i'm using it as a pre-pro.
first thing i did was to open the casing to see the insides which seem of very good quality.
calibration (with Odyssey) went smoothly (i did it 5 times, just for fun) and then i made a few fine tuning adjustments listening to music/TV/movies.
the processing is of excellent quality, so much better than the old (1985) Yamaha processor i had before, and the sound is also improved, mainly in the surround channels.
JC said to me what i should expect as a difference between the old processor and the new one: "Hi, Don't worry . . . the improvement will be nothing less than shocking ! ! !";
i was not shocked, but very impressed by the quality of the sound, which is silky smooth, and also by the decoders included in the receiver.
a good part of this quality of sound is due to the front speakers, M80 v.3
so far, i'm 100% satisfied with the Marantz.
