I've not heard anyone having problems with M80's and Pioneer Elites. I have the smallest one from 2009, which is driving 2 M22's on Left, 2 M22's on Right, and 1 VP150 and 1 M2 on Center at high to very high listening levels without any problems. (Sometimes I exercise in a different room and crank them so I can hear them better).
