In all my projector selection journeys, I've learned that every single one of them, no matter the cost, has its warts. When picking one, you just need to figure out which one is less ugly than the others.....
Personally, out of the ones you listed, I would go with the Sony. If its low ire blacks did not impress you, the others will not either, but maybe the JVC. Calibration is the key point here, and I wouldn't put much faith in demo units unless I knew they were calibrated at d65.
If 3D or gaming is important to you, DLP would be the best choice.
