My QS8s are presently sitting on a bookshelf and a side table. They come with little rubber feet which i believe were for the back of the speaker to use when resting as mounted against a wall. However, i went to Canadian Tire and picked up some slightly larger rubber feet and mounted them to the bottom corners of the QS8s so as it sits on a flat surface, like a standard speaker stand, then at least the bottom woofer has a half inch or more to 'breathe' and isn't being completely muted or buried.
