onkyo's tend to overheat and don't handle low ohm speaekrs well at all. on the other hand, the denon 3805 can easily take on the M80's, a true 4ohm load
as an ONKYO 701 owner, i will second that, sort of. i wouldnt say that my 701 "overheats", but it does get hot. but it has NEVER clipped out, or cut off due to overheating. actually, it has never clipped out or cut off for anything. and i have never tried to use it to push a 4ohm load, but it is not recommended. from what i have been told, the denons can handle the 4ohm load much better.
but with that said, i have 8ohm M60's, and my onkyo pushes them just fine. i have no need or desire to upgrade.
