As far as the Denon stereo goes, the 3805 has a Pure Direct mode and this is your best stereo listening. I'm not well versed on the 5900 because, ya know, I can't afford one, so I've contented myself with electronics envy. I do know it is a pretty incredible piece of equipment. I'd suggest you pound through the manual and see what it yields relative to stereo, pure direct, digital and analog. Frankly, the 3805 is extremely robust in its own right and using its DACS may suffice. The difference between the 3805 and 5900 in stereo may only be discernible to a dog's ears.
