I haven't heard the m3s, but I do own the m22s. I auditioned the m50s, and some say that these are similar to the m3s. I found the m50s to be very laid back compared to the m22s. Enough so that I preferred the "forward" qualities of 22s. In choosing one over the other you might want to consider the quality of sound you are looking for. If you prefer a laid back sound the m3s I'm sure will more than suffice. Before I made my purchase I had been listening to these type of speakers for years, and I needed a change. And I got that with the m22s.
