Hi Ananth,

The reason for my concern was that the 2910 and 3910 are supposed to have better DAC's than the mid line receivers and therefore (in theory) should provide better sound than my 3803. So I though it would be good to use this advantage under all circumstances. I always have the digital connection and the 3803 DAC's/processing to fall back on.
