There were some other 'concerns' about the VP150 and its dispersion, but to date some of these issues had been attributed to home users doing their own tests with inadequate information about about proper audio testing and the tools/methods they were using. The second bias that i've seem come up time and time again stems from the fact that the Axiom VP150 does not use the 'same' driver arrangement as other companies do. Well neither do the Tannoy dual concentric based units but i haven't read about complaints on those. You can read about these issues in this old discussion.
I think you will find the VP150 to be an excellent centre channel once the whole system gets setup properly.
