I don't have the option of more cooling space without bying a new equipment stand. So that is out for now. I have about 4-5 in. above and only about 1 in. on the sides.
I'm running M50's set to large on a 1950. I don't have a sub.
It has only shut down on me once or twice after a long time of listening at high levels. If I just give it a rest for about 10-15 minutes after 3 or 4 CD's I don't have a problem. I just thought that some one has seen something like a small computer cooling fan that runs of of a standard wall outlet.
