My M3s arrived at the sort facility at our airport this morning -- Yeah-ahh!!! Unfortunately it was Saturday ....

My wife nixed the Full Metal Brackets I ordered with my speakers. ("You don't see those on HGTV" ??!??)

I have some unused stands. Wood Technology 24" high. 11x11 bottom base 6.5x6.5 top base.

Best place for these speakers in the family room is on a brick ledge that runs the length of the room. Ledge is 11.5" wide and about 4" high. Because this means the stands have to be square (parallel) to the ledge, my main question is whether it's OK to sit the M3s diagonally on the top of the stand (they'll have to be toed-in a little in this room.

I've already noticed that the Axiom stands are too big for the ledge. Optimum (besides the brackets of course) may be a stand that would fit on the ledge but have a swivel top. I haven't found anything like that though.

Anybody know of any alternatives?
