I think toeing in the speakers while the stands are square to the ledge should be no problem at all. Remember the Axiom speakers aren't exactly square anyways

Only thought is that depending on the size & shape of the room you might find having the M3s so close to the wall gives you a bit too much mid-bass. In that case you might want to move the stands out to sit on the floor instead of on the ledge... try 'em both ways and see which sounds best. Then put them back on the ledge so they look best ;(
