Dam this comes up a lot.....

I think they sound pretty close, but take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm no audiophile. I couldn't even tell you what a soundstage is. I know what sounds good and bad to me though....

But anyway, I'd try to listen to some 80's, then take the same CD to the store and listen to the 100's. Or, just buy the 80's and send them back if you don't like them. I have a feeling that you'll keep them though.

And I'd be lying if money wasn't a consideration with my choice, but I'm not exactly in the pore house either. If I really thought the 100's sounded better, I would have bought them. Hell, I was all set to buy some 703's, but wasn't all that impressed with them. I liked the 100's more.
