Oliver Kahn was immense at WC2002. He single-handedly carried Germany to the final. I think the problem with the modern German national team is that too many of the best Bundesliga players are foreigners. Hence, when it comes to picking the national team, they are lacking quality in certain departments. Since Bierhoff is gone they don't seem to have a good striker. In fact this is a problem with many of the European giants.

Actually I was definately supporting Bayern against Chelsea this year. Stefan Effanberg (sp?) is my fav Bayern player of recent times. I don't support any Premiership teams (mainly because the biased English commentators put me off).

When it comes to World Cups for me its:
South Africa all the way (until they get knocked out in the first round)
Then any of the African teams still remaining (Nigeria/Senegal)
Then finally any team thats playing attractive football ( Brazil/Argentina/Netherlands)
