In general, if your receiver/ amplifier is rated at 6 ohms and you are using 8 ohm speakers, there isn't any problem.

What is the power output of your receiver?

The only thing that I would be careful about is turning up the volume, too loud, on a receiver that is power limited. That may cause clipping/ distortion that could possibly damage/ destroy the tweeters in your new M60s.

But, other than that, ENJOY YOUR NEW SPEAKERS.

Don't worry about the difference between 6 and 8 ohms.
