Axiom Home Page Forums General Discussion Advice from Axiom Owners QS4 / QS8 for surrounds?

I want to use these for my rear and center surrounds in my 6.1 system. Of course the budget does not allow me to buy 3 QS8 speakers as I wish I could. Would a pair of QS8s in the rear w/ a QS4 center rear be OK or should I just stick with 3 QS4s? My room is 23' x 19'with the system set up using about 70% of that space. (up front B&W 602 and SVS 25-31 sub w/ Denon 1803)

While the QS8s are obviously a better speaker, I have QS4s for my surrounds and they sound great. They certainly aren't slouches for producing surround material. I'm in a pretty big (long) room too. Though it isn't very wide at the seating position.

The QS8 is a better speaker but the end result may be better by keeping things as matched as possible tonally for the most seamless panning effects.

Thanks for the input guys. I think the 3 QS$ speakers may be the way to go sonicly and for my budget.
