Its been a while "it felt like a couple of years" since I have been on the board, Craigsub good to see you here, forgot all my info to get on the Spot which is where I remember you doing all the test of the subs....may be PMing you later asking for some advice. If you dont remember I was stationed in Italy and I couldnt wait to get back to the States so I could build my system back up...Amie, I'll get back in touch with you again as well. Great people here, I'm hoping to stay around again. I currently live in Jacksonville, Ar. but I will be moving to Dayton, Ohio this coming April, so if anyone lives in the area let me know for I would love to come listen to the Axioms, since there wasnt a large amount of them in Italy, LOL.
Cant wait to get to reading on some of the updates and listening to the wealth of knowledge that I experianced before, still looking at an SVS like I was 4-ever ago..but who know..Craig?
I'm from NE Louisiana and we were not affected by Katrina but we are having a time with looters, yes its happening up state as well, gas is being siffeled and car jacking on a daily basis.

Any way for those of you that may remember me "for I have to admit I was more active on the Spot but Axioms were definetley the speakers of my choice", I just wanted to say Hi.

Would that, perhaps, be a reference to the immortal Chesty Puller of WWII fame?

Welcome back to the World.

Good to see all is well in your world, Tufel. And yes, I remember when you were headed to Europe. Seems like years ago.

Some more good news - Axiom now has some subwoofers which will give SVS a run for the money. We are about a 4.5 hour drive from Dayton - for a gent who travels the way you do, that is pretty easy, perhaps ? ....

Welcome Back !

Ah.....Wright Pat.

JCMPO used to be out of there. The good ol' early days of the F107 program. Fond Memories.

Anyway, welcome back!! I was still haunting these posts at the time you were on, so I haden't yet let my presence be known. But I sure was around at the time you were active and had, in fact, already had my first set of M3s

So yeah...please join in!!
Rich.

Or would that be in reference to the equally immortal Chesty Morgan. (I want you to know that it was REALLY difficult to forgo posting a link to a photo of an unclothed Chesty .)

Yeah, ya gotta be really old, or really perverse to know who Chesty Morgan was. On the other hand you only need to be a really old history buff to remember Chesty Puller.

My grandfather told me a lot of stories when I was a child ... The life and times of Chesty Morgan was one of my favorites.

Man talking about coming back to a place and seeing all these familiar names, Spiffnme,Capn Pickard, Pmbuko, BrenR, and so on.

I see no one has changed, LOL.

And yes, there my Viet Nam Vet "Ajax" you were correct, Chest Puller is the man I'm refering to...sorry some of guys threw mw of with Chesty Morgan...I was thinking of a "Chesty" lady named Morgan, where is my mind?????

Wright-Pat is the place, my wife is the current active duty member of the Armed Forces ......ugh...which explains Italy, but non-the-less I rather her be active duty than I...this shoe fits better!

Craig...I'll take you up on the visit, I still think about all those freeking subs you had behind your couch at one time.

Well, I'll be around anyway and I'm glad to see the crew is still in tact....did I see a post from BigJohn somewhere? I rememberwhen he first got the Axioms...he from Texas or something.

F107...glad to meet you and I'll be seeing yall around.

Also, Whatfurer it was good to hear from you, tell your son-in-law to be careful down there, my sister just got home yesterday from NO and now she has to go through a mess of shots, they found E Coli.

I'm a WWII history buff. And though I was Army, for whatever reason, I was more interested in the Pacific theater than I was in the European theater. And, though there were actually more Army in the Pacific theater, the Marines and Navy were the center of attention. This was largely McArthur's fault. His PR campaign focused on one man (guess who), rather than on the soldiers. I Have read much about the Guadalcanal campaign, and have a copy of Chesty's biography, Marine.

Funny thing about this guy is that he looks like a Bulldog!

From PVT to LtGen...the Officer couldnt stand him and the Enlisted loved him he was the Marines Marine. He was awarded not one , not two but FIVE Navy Cross which in the Navy and USMC is the second highest award given next to the CMH. They "the Corps leadership" wouldnt give him a CMH, because if they did they would have had to promote him to General which ment he would have been the Commandant...and the Officer Corps was not going to have that. He believed that we could take any beach or hill given..we just had to attack it, yeah we were going to lose som Marines but the mission would be accomplished and the Jarheads loved him.

In the early 50's the Commandant came to Parris Island and he held his function at the Officers Club, the only people that showed where the Officers, Sgt Maj, and some 1st Sgts. Later that year Chesty came and held his get together at the E-Club and I was told by a Marine DI that was there at the time there was an 1 hr wait just to get inside.

Semper Fi Chesty!!!!!

Hey by the way I guess I need to do some research due to Craigs comment on Axiom subs comparing to SVS...this is an Speaker site correct, LOL.

Hi again, Tufelhundin.

Glad to hear there is somebody out there who is as proud of the Marines, as I am of the Navy

I was "in" the Navy from 62 thru 68, but did my best work "for" the Navy(Ok, and the Air Force too!)for many years after that.

If you happen to visit the Air Force museum at Wright Pat, be sure to look up my namesake(s) on display

(Nope, not a full sized airplane, but pint sized engines)

Hey, I resent that... I didn't even own these shorts and this shirt last time you were here.
