Axiom Home Page Forums General Discussion Home Theater Anyone using Pioneer Elite 47Tx with VP150/QS8s?

I'm interested in the Pioneer Elite 47Tx receiver, but it appears to have trouble driving 6ohm speakers. Although I have M60s up front (8ohm) I'd be using a VP150 and 4 QS8s, all of which are 6ohm speakers, and that concerns me.

If anyone has any experience with this receiver (or any of the other Elites, even) and the VP150/QS8s, I'd appreciate any info you can provide.

The "shutdown problem" of the Pioneer Elite receivers has been fixed as of the units manufactured in October 2002 and later. I drive VP150 and QS8 (and even 4-ohm Hales) with the 45TX, and have never experienced any problems even at supra-reference levels.
