I am sitting here watching my beloved Leafs loose to Boston, I figured I'd put on some music (Fleetwood Mac - Greatest Hits) to help ease the pain. I turned the EP-500 right off.
I am in music heaven. I am running a Rotel RSP 1066, Rotel 976 amp and a Cambridge Audio D-500SE. I have had my 80's for 5 months now and love them more and more each day.
I just need to tell the world how happy I am with the set-up!! It all seems to work. Great channel separation, very detailed base (so that’s what a base guitar really sounds like). The drums at the beginning of Tusk are just awesome where I am right now. Stevie's voice is anchored right the middle of my room on Dreams and Gipsy, (I keep having to check to make sure the center speaker is off! Channel separation is beautiful on Tell Me Lies. It's like they are all right in my basement for my personal concert.
Music Heaven!!!! Sometimes you need to stop wanting more and enjoy what you have.
Leafs are still loosing 5 to 1, Oh Lord Stanly, is this the year for Toronto???

Wonderful post! I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes, listening to music you love through a good system is so wonderful you just gotta tell somebody.
