Since I am now officially saving up for another pair of speakers (see "My Boyfriend Rocks!" post) I have a choice to make.

Here's what I have, tell me what you think.

M22ti mains
VP150 center
Polk Audio LS f/x surrounds (di/bipole surrounds)

I have a few options.

1) Buy a pair of QS4's to use as surrounds and move the Polks to the rear.
2) Buy a pair of ??? to use in the rear, and keep the Polk's as surrounds.

Option 1 or 2? And if option 2, what should I put in the rear? A pair of M2i's? A pair of QS2's? (I saw some on Ebay right now)

fyi - The rears will be about 6-8' behind me, so not all that close.

Am I missing an option?

I'd go with option 1.

You might find this old thread interesting for a comparison i did awhile ago on direct vs the Qsx for surrounds.

Hi Spiffnme,

I'd also vote for option one. Mixing Axiom QS4s with the Polk bipole/dipole should make a fairly seamless soundfield. If your room is big, get the QS8s. Besides, there's lots more information from the side surrounds than the rear, so it's preferable to maintain the best timbral match with the mains surrounds and the front left and right.
