Ok guys, since I "wasnt allowed" to buy a desktop computer Im going to have to stick with my laptop for awhile. My laptop is now being used as a basic desktop computer, (ie. i never use it anywhere else besides the office desk).

My question is, will a basic USB keyboard like this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007T26ZG/sr=1-8/qid=1134144018/ref=sr_1_8/102-4435676-0028962?%5Fencoding=UTF8
work with my Laptop? I know USB mice work fine with laptops but im not 100%% sure with keyboards. Thanks

Assuming your laptop has a functioning usb port then, yep, it'll work just fine. How old is your laptop? If it's new enough to run Windows XP, then no problem.

Yeah, no problem then. I've done it myself with several different laptops, and even recently one of those little hand-tops. Never had a problem.

If you have USB ports, and an operating system that supports USB, you are fine.

Your computer will have no problem with that. Wait until it boots completely then plug in the keyboard. XP will find and configure the keyboard and you are good to go.
