All- The crippling disease of audio upgardeitis has caught me once again much to the pleasure of my poor wife. W/that said, I want to upgrade my Yamaha RX V2400. I currently run the M60's/VP150/QS8/EP500 in a very bright all hardwood floor 4600 cube feet room. W/that said, I need some more punch. I have narrowed my choices down to either Outlaw Seperates (990 and the 755 200*5 amp) or the Denon 4806. Price is roughly the same and wanted to get feedback from folks who have used Outlaw w/Axioms and/or the 4806. Thanks as always guys.

I can't comment on the 4806 as I've not heard it but I have the it's little brother the 3806 and couldn't be happier. It's got no problem driving my M80/vp150/QS8/EP500 system to insane levels with no distortion.

I was somewhat dissapointed in the Audysey EQ, but other than that the receiver has lived up to any and all expectations I had.

darthkringle,

I'd get a good receiver to use as your processor and use it's preouts for a dedicated amp and or amps. That's what I did and I couldn't be happier. I myself purchased the Pioneer Elite VSX-74TXVi and I'm running 3 Outlaw 2200 M-Blocks to power my 80's and VP150. I let the 74 power my surrounds. The results are incredible and I couldn't be more pleased. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

The 4806 will work fine with your speakers.

Outlaw's 970 or 990 (depending on features) would work too. The 755 is not available as it is being replaced with the 7500. You can get a 970/7125 or 990/7125 combo now and trade up the 7125 to the 7500 when it becomes available.
