Okay here is the thing, whenever I use autoEQ, I found the bass is lacking and sound bit hollow, so I manually adjust the EQ setting in the receiver, now I found the sound too bright for my room. My question is there are adjustable DB level for various freq. for each speaker in the receiver. what method I can use to EQ the speaker manualy, SPL meter and do a freq sweep from 60hz-20khz? also do I need to lower the higher freq range(10khz+) in the receiver to lower the brighest that I heard in the speakers due to my room?

Alot of us that use the Denen receivers turn the EQ setting off, seems to sound best that way.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

turn off the eq does help. after turn off the eq, the bass sound tighter and puncher, but the vocal sound brighter, so I like to know how to fix that? adjust the db lvl in the 3806 EQ? or else?
