Evening all! Hope everyone's had as magnificent a Memorial Day as we have here in sunny southern CA.... I have been trolling around reading up a bit on sub-woofers. I've noticed that many of the posters have other than Axiom subs, and was wondering if anyone has knowledge of a comparaison between the Velodyne "flagship" 1812 and Axiom's EP600. They're both digitally controlled for low distortion. The Velodyne has about three times more power, besides having two drivers. I wonder how different they really are?... Anyone heard or read anything?

Umm, at $15,000 or so I would hope the Velodyne would be better...

You could get 8 EP600's with a budget of $15,000.

Bet that would be better. Then you could do that cool circle of 600s.

That would give Tharkun some competition, haha Heck Ken would be able to hear that all the way to his house, so would RicheyDog, lol

Seems the $15k is full list price, several online places sell it for more like $10k. Using Google not finding any extensive reviews about it, one buyer stated it was expensive and heavy if that helps.

Well, if it's only $10K, I'm right there. Buying now. Pressing the button.

It only weighs 385 lbs. If it doesn't rock the house when it's on, then it certainly will if it tips over.
