Thanks all! Brent is sending me a VP100 to audition. I tell ya, Axiom customer service is second to none.
Im not sure that is the best idea. Why not keep the 150 and put up a better shelf that will hold the 150 and the plants.

trust me, if it was totally up to me, i would by another stand or a shelf to put the speaker on. It's my wife that is rejecting the two options. That shelf is only going to be there till I move into my new house. If the VP100 does not work, I will need to return the entire Axiom speaker combo. I have talked to to people at Axiom, and they told me that the VP100 will not sound all that much different. The seating distance in my new living room is 8-9' from the screen.

if it were me, I would wait for the wife to go out somewhere and replace the shelf. its better to do and apolagize later.

Funny! Just buying a new house and all the stuff that goes with it (ie; shutters), she would kill me ...

It's so funny what 'they' get latched onto. My wife was vehemently opposed to floor-standing speakers. She went on a short trip and when she returned she found M60's and a gift certificate for a new saddle. Now she loves how the M60's sound and rides her horse more.

Sell the wife.
Is there a specific web site for this activity or is this a general ebay for sale listing?
