I am VERY interested in axiom speakers. I have not pulled the trigger yet and am torn between Axiom and Paradigm. If I had a 10% discount for either I'd make the deal yesterday

At any rate, here is my question. I really want the M22 because I want the bigger bookshelf but I can only fit the smaller center and surrounds (VP100 and QS4). In their system, Axiom has the M22 paired with the bigger center and surrounds (VP150 and QS8). Does anyone know how well this bookshelf matches the smaller ones? Is it an option or will they not sound good together???

There is a lot of info on the boards about your question. Some have the QS8/VP150 and others the QS4/VP100 and in general I think most people are happy with what they have. Try a board search and also look at the wall o'fame where you will see examples of both combos. My room is 30' wide and spills into another large room so I went with the QS8/VP150 with my M22s. The sound quality is great but I think I would have been equally happy with the smaller surrounds and center. But then again, I'm not in the camp of audiophiles talking about adding extra subwoofers, air horns and vibrating chairs to my HT setup.

fishacura welcome, the speakers you chose will sound great together, and if you go through the outlet you can save 5%.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Ditto...welcome. Going through the factory outlet will save you 10% and if you order 5 items at once, it will be another 5% off for a total of 15% off the total.

That's what I did when I ordered my setup...and cannot find anything wrong with the factory stuff. I did get an EP600 that had a non-working volume control on the 'amp' but Axiom corrected that, very quickly. They sent me a new amp, and I sent them back the old one with pre-paid shipping. Easy as that. Customer Service is top notch...and I have never dealt with Paradigm stuff, so I can't say much towards theirs.

cables, plugs and interconnects count as items.

I am going to have to suggest that you at least consider the M3's.

I am honestly, totally blown away by these speakers! I just got them today and have been putting them thru the ringer.

I should tell you that I own a pair of M22's, which are currently anchoring my home theater system, and have been for a few years. The M3's I'm listening to are off of my computer, which are replacing M2's as the front channel speakers. I've tried the M3, M2, and M22 in both the HT and my computer setup (driven from an Outlaw 1070 for computer, and Yamaha RX-V2400 for HT). I must say that the M3 sounds fuller and is preferable to my ear.

The M22 is incredible, but it has less bass and so is a little tougher to integrate perfectly with a subwoofer. The M22s sound best on a stand (I have them on 24" stands), and a solid sub to help it along. They appeared to my ear to be more sensitive to placement. At any rate, both sound great, but the M3's sound fuller and more pleasing to my ear. I love the M22s though, but in actuality they sounded just like M2s with slightly more "presence" (and of course power handling ability).

These M3s are just really crazy. Whether they are playing Pantera, Peter Tosh, or Norah Jones- they are amazing. I imagine a home theater consisting of a bunch of these would be pretty sweet. I think you owe it to yourself to try both and keep the one you like best.

Fish, welcome. You didn't specify why you can only "fit" smaller center and surrounds, and the difference in size isn't really that great. Be that as it may, the VP100 and QS4s should work very well with M22s unless your room is very large, which may not be the case. Also, if it would fit, consider a vertical M2 as the center.

As far as discounts go, as the previous replies have pointed out, you can get a 15% discount by ordering factory outlet(10%) and 5 items(5%). Although you're considering five speakers, the 5% discount would also apply to a lesser number of speakers plus some small connecting items.
