If this is covered in Sirquack's listening thread, just point me in that direction. (didn't want to read 64 pages ) I'm sitting here watching the UT vs Cal game (GO VOLS!!! 35-0) listening to some smooth jazz from sky.fm via my Squeezebox and got to wondering what others listen to. That is, what are your favorite stations? My favorites so far are Sky FM's Absolutely Smooth Jazz, Reggae, and Classical and Flamenco Guitar. Funny thing is, I hated jazz and reggae before I got my Axioms. Now it seems like I'm sitting in the same room as the musicians.

Many of us use Pandora which gives you free streaming music over the internet and you can setup your own stantions. I have one for Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock, Metal, Country, Easy Listening, etc.

Sty, I'll again refer to the Classical Webcast site , an excellent source for stations all over the world which stream over the internet. Some of my favorites are BBC Radio 3 and CPR(Colorado Public Radio, Denver).

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Radio Paradise is by far my favorite. They now have 193kbps in different formats.

>>They now have 193kbps in different formats. I am currently connected at 4.8 Kbps. The phone line gets real noisy when it rains and the noise forces the modem to a lower data rate, typically between 4.8 and 9.6 Kbps. The phone company will only send service people out when it is warm and dry. Forget this "streaming audio" -- I either need a "trickling audio" station or something that streams Morse Code

Are you playing those stations through a squeezebox or other player like winamp or realplayer? I can't seem to figure out how to get them to play via slimserver.

If you have a computer it will play using Windows Media Player, unless you use a different player as our default for MP3.

I also love Pandora, which is a great way to discover new music that you are likely to like ...
Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

I may have to look into Pandora, but for now I'll stick to the free stuff. I just have to figure out how to get these stations to play on my Squeezebox. I can get them to play on my PC fine, but the Logitech 5.1 setup doesn't quite compare to my Axioms.
