I’ve got one. They don’t work RF without the MRF, so you should consider the total price. Mike at Surf Remote is where I bought mine along with a MX 850. They have about three different MRF’s too. The 350 is the best (figures because I have two 200’s). The 350 has adjustable IR flasher output signals and that’s pretty important. Some IR’s on different devises don’t function when the signal is too high, like my stinking satellite DVR.
It’s a good remote, fits in the hand nicely, cool back light and not too difficult to program although after using the MX software with the 850, I’d just get one of the PC programmable ones if I were you. It’s way cool and easy to reprogram them with the PC. The macros take some time to figure out, but if I can do it, you most certainly can. One note on the 850 though, it’s big and cumbersome to me and the stinking batteries go dead pretty quick. They have a 950 out I believe. It has a charging cradle which I find appealing. But it’s bigger than the 850, so that’s a minus to me.
You know what; I’m starting to get frustrated with this AV hobby now that I think about all these compromises. There just never seams to be a no comprise solution to anything. It must be a conspiracy……..
