So I got a great deal on a 2930 and I am wondering if I should keep it or flip it.?
I mean it is a quite expensive simple DVD player that upscales to 1080p, but no HD or Blu Ray???
What do you all think?

My friend has one and it's great for dvd, sacd, dvd-a, etc., but I like the PS3 with blu-ray video AND sound improvements. The Denon upscales standard dvd though. I would keep it until the HD DVD and Blu-Ray thing pans out.

Tarun, one point to always keep in mind is that if you have a 1080 TV, it has to display at 1080p(unless it's a CRT)to show a complete picture. The TV itself has to upscale and/or deinterlace 480 or 720 material if it hasn't been done already by a player, etc.(of course this doesn't actually increase the resolution to 1080). So, upscaling and/or deinterlacing in a player is only an advantage if it does a visibly better job of it than the TV itself does(which varies).

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
