I've been diagnosed with upgraditis...help! So I just finished my taxes and it turns out I'm getting back more than I had anticipated. I ordered my m50's 4 weeks ago and still waiting. So can you guess what I'm thinking? Yup, M60's baby! Here's the thing. I'm just not sure if they would be overkill in my 800sq ft condo. While my living/dining room is open concept, about 17x20 overall, my living room portion is about 17x10. My speakers will be about 7.5ft apart and I would be sitting approx 8-9ft max away from the speakers. Should I stick with the M50's or get the m60's now while I can still get them in HG Cherry?

If you can still contact Axiom and work out the details, my vote is also for the m80's, ooops, I mean m60's.  My HT/Recroom is 900 Sq Ft and I owned 60's for 2 years, they did a fabulous job and would have more overall bass/detail than the m50s. I currently own m80's and they are a notch better than the 60's.

You guys are really bad influences you do realize that lol.
I guess it comes down to whether or not I can get the M60's at the prices before the markup since I bought my M50's before the price went up. I'll have to contact Noreen on Monday I guess. To bad I couldn't change the order now.

Go for M80s, I mean M60s sorry. I am more than happy with my M60s, but if I had to do it again, I'd go for M80s.

Why would you want to get M50s so you can wonder whether the M60s would be better? Get the M60s and you'll never be disappointed that you have too much (or not enough) audio. I'm guesssing that you won't be in a condo forever and there will, at some point, be more space to fill. Let your testosterone guide you!

Sure, instead of getting the M50 and wondering if the M60 would be better, get that M60. That way you can wonder if the M80 would be better!
